Bird Box Cabinet (Stoke City Football Club)

In addition to TheStoke2000’s city-wide Bottle-oven project (celebrating heritage through art & recycling), we are also championing heritage at county level focusing on the historic Staffordshire knot; A symbol that unites people & places.

Various bird box cabinets in the shape of shields, crests & logos of regional organisations are being co-created from end of use pallet wood & other recycled material locally.

We envisage the products to be purchased by these beneficiaries, positioned on buildings across the County, helping to be part of the circular economy story & supporting our social enterprise. All helping to attract wildlife to urban landscapes. The bird box has an open back to fit flat against a north to east facing wall.

Each version is painted using a distressed effect where young people & members of community groups are involved where possible around the current pandemic.
