The STOKE 2000 have inviting local artists to collaborate and make creative bottleoven artwork to be part of our circular economy story. Their artwork is being applied to the surface of our award winning bottle-ovens, to be displayed across the BID (Business Improvement District) area in Stoke-on-Trent.
Media has included: Painting, Photography, Paper, Glass, Metalwork, Wood (furnishings or decorative), Calligraphy, Pyrography, Ceramics, Jewellery, Floral, Fabric, Weaving and more. The artist have selected one of our three templates and even made bespoke planters on request.
An art trail will be co-created for the city centre to bring people together to view the artwork. We are excited to help celebrate the City’s cultural and industrial heritage in 2021, with the support of local artists.

Essential Life Skills
Local school children are also getting involved in our artisan project. They are helping to celebrate Stoke-on-Trent’s cultural and industrial heritage. As part of their studies, 6th form students from St. Margaret Ward Catholic Academy in Tunstall are using their creative skills to design various planters. This is to show that recycling can bring people together through business and enterprise to reminisce, share stories, and help with local tourism within the City.
